Workshop on Data Integration within the Arabidopsis International Community

The Institute of Genomic Research (TIGR)

Exploiting the full potential of Arabidopsis thaliana (functional) genomic data is currently hindered by the limited mechanisms of availability and the lack of integration. Web services provide a mechanism whereby data residing at many different locations can be seamlessly integrated to provide the user with richer data sets.

Summer Pratical Workshop on Functional Genomics

Summary of Project – Functional Genomics and its application has become an important tool for an increasing number of scientific disciplines.Advanced undergraduate and graduate students, techical staff and young faculty members in Ohio who do not normally gain access to such facilities, or apply these kinds of quipment and analyses to their research, are the individuals that benefited through the educational resources presented through this Workshop.

Workshop on Data Integration within the Arabidopsis International Community organized under the auspices of the Multinational Arabidopsis Steering Committee (MASC) and supported by US National Science Foundation (NSF) took place at The Institute of Genomic Research (TIGR) on
April 18-19th 2005.
